10 June. Relaunch of malehealth.co.uk, the UK's only comprehensive and dedicated consumer health website for men. This website, recently acquired by the Men's Health Forum, aims to provide men of all ages and backgrounds with the information they need to achieve optimal health and to deal with health problems. 11 June. Male MOT. Health checks for men taking place in Sainsbury's Nine Elms car park in Vauxhall from 10-4pm, in association with the South Lambeth Group Practice. Health specialists will be measuring blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, and height as well as giving advice on heart disease, smoking cessation, cancer and sexual health. 12 June. Start of health roadshow taking place in and around Devon, carrying out health checks on men (including blood pressure, blood sugar, cancer, smoking cessation and sexual health). Manned by health visitors and community nurses. Awareness raising events event in local leisure centre and pubs also taking place during National Men's Health Week. 13 June. Launch of high blood pressure initiative. As part of National Men's Health Week the Doctor Patient Partnership are launching an initiative to highlight the dangers of high blood pressure, offering self-care advice on how to manage and prevent the condition.
