The group was established in early 2001 and was set up as a result of a new level of awareness about the state of men's health.
The Men's Health Forum provides the secretariat to the Group - it helps organise meetings and produce briefings.
About the All Party Group and the Men's Health Forum
The Mens Health Forum helped MPs form the APG on Men's Health in early 2001 and now provides its secretariat.
The Group brings together MPs and Peers from across the political spectrum to debate key issues and campaign together to improve men's health.
The All Party Parliamentary Group on Men's Health holds regular meetings and has recently discussed issues including mental health and alcohol, the case for vaccinating boys against HPV, the links between heart disease and erectile dysfunction and men and cancer. Meetings attract expert speakers and a wide audience of parliamentarians and specialist organisations.
The All Party Parliamentary Group on Men's Health has a Chair and Vice Chairs.
- Chair: Mike Freer MP
- Co-Chair: Lord Patel of Bradford
- Vice Chairs: Baroness Masham of Ilton and Tom Brake MP
