About Man MOT Momentum/MRM

An independent text chat and email service run for Momentum/MRM staff by the Men's Health Forum team of NHS GPs

At Momentum/MRM, we believe our job is to help our clients grow their business by building meaningful connections between their customers and their brands to drive engagement, conversion and long term loyalty. To build those meaningful connections we have to reach the right people in the right places with messages and experiences that are founded on human truths.

But we can’t do this if we’re not feeling right ourselves. Stress and burnout can happen to anyone - what’s important is to spot it and stop it before it gets out of control. Man MOT Momentum/MRM is a new instant access service designed to make it easier for you to get support when you need it. It is provided for Momentum/MRM by the Men's Health Forum. Through Man MOT Momentum/MRM, you can:

  • text chat live to GP - Monday and Thursday 7-10pm - no appointment needed.
  • send an email to a GP and get a reply within 72 hours

The service is free. It works on computer, tablet or smart phone.

The service is anonymous and confidential. Nothing you say will be shared with anyone. It is for totally independent from Momentum/MRM. If you'd prefer not to give your name, no problem.

To use the chat service, just ask your question. Sometimes the GP might ask your age or for other information to help them to help you better. For the email service, obviously you need to include your email address. You can print out the chat as a reminder or to show to your own GP.

All Man MOT GPs are NHS-trained and fully qualified.

On Man MOT you can talk about anything you want. Our GPs can discuss options with you and direct you to health services if necessary. But we can't give individualised medical advice or offer a medical diagnosis. Only your own GP can do that. This is made clear in our terms and conditions which you'll need to agree to before chatting.

The Men’s Health Forum need your support

It’s tough for men to ask for help but if you don’t ask when you need it, things generally only get worse. So we’re asking.

In the UK, one man in five dies before the age of 65. If we had health policies and services that better reflected the needs of the whole population, it might not be like that. But it is. Policies and services and indeed men have been like this for a long time and they don’t change overnight just because we want them to.

It’s true that the UK’s men don’t have it bad compared to some other groups. We’re not asking you to ‘feel sorry’ for men or put them first. We’re talking here about something more complicated, something that falls outside the traditional charity fund-raising model of ‘doing something for those less fortunate than ourselves’. That model raises money but it seldom changes much. We’re talking about changing the way we look at the world. There is nothing inevitable about premature male death. Services accessible to all, a population better informed. These would benefit everyone - rich and poor, young and old, male and female - and that’s what we’re campaigning for.

We’re not asking you to look at images of pity, we’re just asking you to look around at the society you live in, at the men you know and at the families with sons, fathers and grandads missing.

Here’s our fund-raising page - please chip in if you can.
