The Men's Health Forum is sometimes confused with Men's Health magazine. While normally we co-exist quite happily, we are nothing to do with each other.
We are stressing it today because Welsh MP Alex Davies-Jones has called on Men's Health magazine to take down an article it has posted on how to use choking during sex.
This is also not the sort of article we would post on our site. The practice, even if truly consensual, is unacceptably high risk and by implicitly normalising the behaviour, we find the article dangerously irresponsible. We strongly support Alex Davies-Jones's concerns. Her tweet is below
Strangulation is not sexy, it's a violent, dangerous act!
I'm horrified to see an article by @MensHealthMag that aims to teach its readers how to 'safely' strangulate during sex.
I've written to the Editor-in-Chief urging him to reconsider & remove the article. pic.twitter.com/OElT9BGYBq
